The MCT is also a deciding factor when a passenger makes a claim for compensation for a missed connection. You can see the minimum time required for connections in Miami International Airport below.
- Between domestic flights: 55 min.
- Between domestic and international flights: 60 min.
- Between international flights: 90 min.
Miami (MIA) Airport terminals
Terminals are the areas or separate buildings in airports through which passengers can travel between ground transportation and the places for boarding or disembarking from the airplane. It's important to confirm which terminal you are departing from or travelling through, because terminals in bigger airports may be a long distance from each other and passengers might require more time to get to the necessary one. Miami International Airport has 3 Terminals.
Terminal 1 – North Terminal (Blue)
Terminal 2 – Central Terminal (Yellow)
Terminal 3 – South Terminal (Red)
Miami Airport transport
It might be hard to find the most comfortable way to reach the centre of the city when travelling to a destination for the first time. Public transportation is not always available directly from the airport and taxis are often pricey. We recommend checking all possibilities before your journey so you know your options and can prepare for your trip.
