Aer Lingus online check-in

Passengers can check in online from 30 hours prior to the departure, select a seat and print out their boarding pass or have it sent to their mobile phone (first check mobile check-in is possible in the airport you are departing from).

Aer Lingus mobile check-in

Mobile check-in enables you to check in for your flight and download the boarding pass at your convenience. Check-in, seat booking, and receipt of your mobile boarding pass is all available from 30 hours prior to departure, on your smartphone or tablet. You should check the availability of mobile check-in in your departure airport.

A paper boarding pass can be picked up at a check-in machine (if available in the departure airport) or at the airline check-in desk, if something malfunctions with your mobile boarding pass. This is also applicable in case you experience any issues with your phone, or if you delete your boarding pass inadvertently.

Aer Lingus flight check-in machines

These are the screens you can use to check in at the airport. Not all airports have self-check-in machines, so check that the airport you are departing from does so prior to your journey. With the majority of check-in machines, you are able to check in using your passport, or by filling in your last name and the flight booking reference (found in your booking confirmation).

Aer Lingus baggage regulations

Aer Lingus' carry-on baggage allowance is dependent on the flight ticket's travel class. The carry-on baggage is required to meet the airline’s regulations. When the carry-on baggage does not fall within regulations, it has to be checked in at an Aer Lingus desk or a self-service bag drop kiosk, if possible. Additional charges could be applied if this occurs.

You should report damaged or delayed baggage at once, either to the Aer Lingus baggage tracing counter or the Aer Lingus service counter. Every flight document must be kept, especially your baggage claim tag and boarding pass.

The level of accommodation aboard a plane is determined by the travel class of the flight ticket. The number of classes offered varies by airline. There is 1 travel class choice offered by Aer Lingus – Economy - but passengers can choose from Saver, Plus, Advantage, and AerSpace fares.

Separate seats are a requisite for children aged two (2) and above.
