Baggage policy for sports equipment
Passengers must make a reservation for sports equipment before travelling because there is a limitation on the amount of space available for these items.
Baggage problems
When baggage gets damaged, or fails to get to your destination, it could be a result of several reasons. Issues with your baggage could be due to technical problems in the baggage handling area, bad weather, or the baggage tag coming off your luggage.
Delayed / damaged baggage
Damaged or delayed baggage needs to be declared right away at the baggage tracing desk in the airport. It is crucial to save all flight documents, especially your boarding pass and baggage claim tag.
Written confirmation is always required, and a claim reference number. Make sure you have this until the delivery of your baggage or claim resolution.
There is also the opportunity to enforce a claim for baggage issues using MYFLYRIGHT, more details on this can be found here.
