Etihad Airways offers a choice of check-in methods – your mobile phone, online, airport self-check-in machines, or at the check-in desk at the airport.

Passengers who demand specific on-board requirements, or who are flying with pets, must check in at the airline counter in the airport.

Etihad online check-in

Passengers may check in online from 30 hours prior to the departure, select a seat and print their boarding pass or receive it on their mobile phone (first make sure mobile check-in is possible in the airport you are departing from).

Etihad Airways online check-in with mobile

Checking-in and downloading the boarding pass to your mobile device is simple, efficient, and makes it possible for you to get ready for your flight irrespective of where you are. From 30 hours prior to departure, you can check in, book your seat, and receive your boarding pass using your mobile phone. Etihad hand luggage / carry-on baggage

The number of items of carry-on baggage allowed on Etihad Airways flights is dependent on the travel class of the flight ticket. Carry-on baggage is required to adhere to the regulations of the airline.

You must check your carry-on baggage at an Etihad Airways counter or, if possible, at the departure airport, by using a self-service bag drop service, when it does not comply with the airline's regulations. Additional fees may be applied in this instance.

Travelling with children on Etihad flights

Children aged two (2) and above are required to have a separate seat booking.

Country regulations differ for children under a certain age, regardless if they are travelling alone or with an adult.

Carrycots – reservation available for most flights, for babies under 11 kg and under 67 cm in length. The seat for the carrycot might demand an additional seat reservation fee.
