Eurowings check-in

It is possible to check in with Eurowings in a range of ways, online, on your mobile phone, or in the airport with a self-check-in machine or at the airline check-in desk.

In the event you are flying with pets, or if there are special on-board services which you need, make sure to check in at the airline check-in counter in the departure airport.

Eurowings online check-in

Passengers are able to check in online from 72 hours and as late as 3 hours prior to the time of departure, choose a seat and print their boarding pass or get it on their mobile phone (first make sure mobile check-in is possible in the airport you are departing from). 

Eurowings mobile check-in

Mobile check-in allows you to check in for your flight and download the boarding pass in your own time. Check-in, seat reservation, and receiving your mobile boarding pass is all available from 72 hours and up to 3 hours before the scheduled flight departure, using your mobile device. Be sure to check the availability of mobile check-in in the airport of departure.

In case there are any problems with your mobile boarding pass, you can get a conventional paper boarding pass from a check-in machine (if available in the departure airport) or from the airline check-in desk in the airport. This also applies if your phone has issues, or your boarding pass is deleted.

Eurowings self-check-in kiosks

These are the machines which allow you to check in yourself at the airport. It is important to check the availability of check-in machines before travelling to the departure airport. You can typically check in at the machine either with your passport, or by entering your last name and booking reference, which is in your booking confirmation.

Eurowings check-in time: Deadlines

Check-in deadlines are essential to ensure on-time take-off for flights. Be certain you have your boarding pass and have checked in any baggage before the deadline, whether you checked in on your mobile device, at the check-in desk, or at a check-in machine.

Eurowings baggage regulations

The quantity of items of carry-on baggage allowed with Eurowings flights is dependent on the travel class of the flight ticket. The carry-on baggage has to conform to the airline’s regulations. You have to check your carry-on baggage at a Eurowings counter or, if available, at the departure airport, by using a self-service bag drop service, when it does not conform to the airline's regulations. Extra charges could be applied in this instance.

Delayed / damaged baggage

In the unfortunate event that your baggage is delayed or damaged, this needs to be reported promptly to the Eurowings baggage tracing desk or the Eurowings service counter at the destination airport. Each flight document should be kept, most importantly your baggage claim tag and boarding pass.

You must always supply your claim reference number and written confirmation. You need to keep hold of this until you receive your baggage or claim resolution.

Eurowings flight travel classes

The level of accommodation on a plane is indicated by the travel class of the flight ticket. The number of classes available differs by airline. Passengers may pick from Eurowings' 4 travel classes – Basic, Smart, Best, and BIZclass.

Eurowings airline policy: Flying with children

Separate seats are required for children aged two (2) and above.

Be aware that some countries have particular regulations regarding children under a certain age coming into or leaving that country, who are travelling on their own, with a parent, or with an adult without parental authority.

Make sure you have all the travel documents you need before travelling in order to ensure entry and exit is permitted by the country.

Travelling with pets on Eurowings flights

Travelling with pets with Eurowings is allowed only on short-haul and medium-haul flights. Requires registration while booking.

When the animal meets weight, size, country as well as other airline restrictions, you can fly with it with an extra fee as carry-on baggage or within the cargo hold area of the aircraft.
