Lauda check-in
Passengers can choose to check in with Lauda online, by mobile device, or on a self-check-in machine or directly at the airline's check-in desk in the airport.
If you need special on-board services or are flying with pets, be sure to check in directly at the check-in desk in the airport of departure.
Online check-in
Online check-in opens 48 hours prior to the departure and allows you to select your seat and either print out your boarding pass or receive it in mobile version (note that not all airports have mobile check-in as a choice).
Mobile check-in
You are able to check-in, select your seat, and get your mobile boarding pass 48 hours before departure, all on your mobile phone. Be sure to check the possibility of mobile check-in in the airport you are departing from.
A paper boarding pass can be picked up at a check-in machine (if available in the departure airport) or at the airline check-in counter, in the event something malfunctions with your mobile boarding pass. If you are experiencing issues with your phone, or have accidentally deleted your boarding pass, the above is also applicable.
Self-check-in machines
These are the stand-alone computer screens for use in airports for checking yourself in. Find out if check-in machines are available in the airport you are departing from ahead of your journey. You can check in for your flight with your passport or by entering your last name with your flight booking reference (this is on your booking confirmation), with most check-in machines.
Flight check-in deadlines
The point of check-in deadlines is to ensure flights leave punctually. Whatever way you decide to check in, be sure to have your boarding pass and that all necessary baggage is checked prior to the deadline.
Baggage allowance for Lauda flights
Below you can ready more about Lauda baggage regulations.
Carry-on baggage
Lauda's carry-on baggage allowance is dependent on the flight ticket's travel class.
The carry-on baggage has to meet the airline’s regulations.
You are required to check your carry-on baggage at a Lauda counter or, if available at the departure airport, by using a self-service bag drop service, when it does not conform to the airline's regulations. Additional fees could be applied in this instance.
Dimensions for carry-on baggage – max. 55 x 40 x 20 cm
Dimensions applied to foldable garment bags – max. 40 x 20 x 25 cm
Economy Class – 1 carry-on baggage item up to 10 kg
Checked baggage
The cost and travel class of your ticket decide the amount of baggage you are able to check in at no cost.
Checked baggage allowance
Economy Class – 1 to 3 checked-in items can be purchased by each passenger baggage item, up to 20 kg
Excess baggage
A few things must be noted for excess and special baggage items.
Baggage restrictions: Sports equipment
It is a good idea to reserve for sports baggage ahead of time, as the aircraft usually has limited allocated space for such items.
Baggage problems
There are a number of variables why baggage gets damaged or fails to arrive at the destination airport. A detached baggage tag, unfavourable weather conditions, or technical issues in the baggage handling area can cause baggage concerns.
Delayed / damaged baggage claim
A report should be made immediately to the Lauda baggage tracing counter or service desk in the unfortunate event your baggage is damaged or is delayed at the arrival airport. Maintain all documents relevant to your flight, above all your boarding pass and baggage claim tag.
It is a necessity to give confirmation in writing and the reference number for your claim. It is important to save this till the delivery of your baggage, or your claim is resolved.
There is also the option to enforce a claim for problems with baggage by enlisting MYFLYRIGHT, more information on this can be found here.
Lauda air travel classes
The level of accommodation onboard an airplane is marked by the travel class of the flight ticket. The range of classes the passenger can select from varies according to the airline. There is 1 travel class option provided by Lauda – Economy.
Economy Class
This is the basic travel class of seating. Economy Class on Lauda is offered on all flights.

It is important to note that some countries have particular regulations regarding minors (under-age children) landing in or departing from that country, who are travelling on their own, with a parent, or with an adult without parental authority.
You have to always be aware of all necessary documents before your trip, if not you could be denied entry or exit in a country.
