ANA to operate Pokémon liveried Boeing 777 on London route next month

Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) is set to unveil its newest Pokémon-themed jet, featuring the beloved character Eevee. This special livery will take to the skies on flights from Tokyo Haneda to London Heathrow starting August 31st, with additional routes to New York and San Francisco in the pipeline.

Continuing the Pokémon-themed aircraft tradition

Following the success of ANA's Pikachu-themed Boeing 787 Dreamliner earlier this year, the airline is adding another Pokémon-themed jet to its fleet. The chosen aircraft for this program is a thirteen-year-old Boeing 777-300ER with registration JA784A. The widebody jet, which was part of ANA's 2007 order, had its maiden flight on December 18th, 2009, and was delivered shortly after. Once adorned with Eevee's charming design, the aircraft will be christened "Eevee Jet NH," paying homage to ANA's airline code designation.

All Nippon Airways: Passenger gifts

Passengers flying on the Eevee Jet NH will be treated to unique gifts, including a Japanese wooden tag, a Commemorative sticker, and a Boarding certificate, presented onboard during the flight. The aircraft will also feature specially designed headrest covers and themed paper products to create an immersive Pokémon experience for travelers. Junko Yazawa, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience Management & Planning at ANA, expressed enthusiasm for the special aircraft, emphasizing the aim to provide unforgettable experiences for passengers.

All Nippon Airways: Scheduled routes

The inaugural flight of the Eevee Jet NH is scheduled for August 31st, departing for London Heathrow Airport on a daily basis. The return leg of the journey will be an overnight flight, landing at Tokyo Haneda Airport the following morning. Additionally, the jet is expected to operate on select flights to New York and San Francisco.

ANA's Boeing 777s are configured to accommodate 212 passengers across four classes, with 116 seats in economy, 24 in premium economy, 64 in business class, and eight in first class. The newly announced routes are slated to run until the end of the summer season on October 28th, 2023.

The Pokémon air adventures project

ANA's collaboration with The Pokémon Company under the "Pokémon air adventures" initiative aims to reignite the joy of travel for valued customers. The project aligns perfectly with ANA's vision of bringing people together and inspiring exploration post-COVID-19. Eevee, known for its various evolutions like Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, will be featured on the aircraft, symbolizing progress and a bright future alongside Pikachu.

ANA's Eevee-themed Boeing 777 promises to enchant passengers with its delightful design and exclusive amenities, adding a touch of magic to air travel. As travelers embark on their journeys, ANA's commitment to providing remarkable experiences and strengthening connections between people and the world shines through this captivating Pokémon-inspired endeavor.
