Finally, on March 31, 2024, the inaugural flight took off, realizing the vision of bridging these two prominent cities.

The newly launched route operates year-round, with daily flights during the peak summer season, running through October. Utilizing its Airbus A330-300 aircraft, SWISS offers travelers a comfortable journey with 236 seats arranged across three cabins. Flights depart from Zurich Airport in the early afternoon, arriving at Dulles International Airport in the late afternoon. The return leg takes off late in the evening from Dulles, ensuring a convenient schedule for passengers on both ends.
