Luxair check-in
Passengers can choose to check in with Luxair online, by mobile phone or tablet, on a self-check-in machine or directly at the airline's check-in counter at the airport.
When travelling with pets, or in the event that there are certain on-board requirements which you demand, you must check in at the airline check-in counter in the airport of departure.
Luxair online check-in
Online check-in is available 24 hours prior to scheduled flight departure and makes it possible for you to choose your seat and either print out your boarding pass or get it in mobile version (bear in mind that not all airports have mobile check-in as a possibility).
Luxair mobile check-in
You are able to conveniently check in and download the mobile boarding pass to your smartphone or tablet wherever you may be. From 24 hours before departure, you can check in, select your seat, and get your boarding pass via your mobile phone. Remember to check the availability of mobile check-in in the airport of departure.
In case there are any difficulties with your mobile boarding pass, you may pick up a conventional paper boarding pass from a check-in machine (when available in the departure airport) or from the airline check-in desk at the airport. In the event you are experiencing difficulties with your phone, or have inadvertently deleted your boarding pass, the above further applies.
Luxair check-in machines
These are the machines which enable you to check in yourself at the airport. Not every airport has self-check-in machines, so make sure that your departure airport does prior to your trip. You can normally check in at the machine either with your passport, or by inputting your last name and booking reference, which is in your booking confirmation.
Luxair check-in time: Deadlines
In order to keep flights on time, check-in deadlines are crucial. Before the deadline you should have your boarding pass, regardless of how you checked in – in person, online, using your mobile phone, or if you were automatically checked in – and baggage must also have been checked in.
Luxair airline baggage allowance
Your flight ticket travel class determines the carry-on baggage allowance when travelling with Luxair. Carry-on baggage must comply with the regulations of the airline. If the carry-on baggage does not comply with regulations, it is required to be checked in at a Luxair desk or a self-service bag drop kiosk, if available. Additional charges may be applied if this occurs.
Luxair baggage claim
You have to report damaged or delayed baggage immediately, either to the Luxair baggage tracing desk or the Luxair service desk. It is important to maintain all flight documents, most crucially your boarding pass and baggage claim tag.
Confirmation in writing is always required, and a claim reference number. You must keep this until the baggage delivery, or your claim is resolved.

Luxair travel classes
A travel class defines the standard of accommodation on the airplane. The quantity of classes offered to the passenger is dependent on the airline. Passengers can select from Luxair's 2 travel classes – Economy and Business. Invisible booking classes are also included in each individual cabin class.
Luxair airport lounges
Several kinds of lounges are available with Luxair – Business Lounges at Luxembourg, Saarbrücken and partner airports.
Travelling with children on Luxair flights
Children aged two (2) and above must have an individual seat reserved.
Dependent on the country, different regulations may have to be adhered to for minors (children under a certain age) who are entering or exiting the country, whether they are travelling alone, or with an adult, regardless whether that adult is the child's parent or not.
You must always be sure of all necessary documents before flying, if not you may be denied entry or exit in a country.
Travelling with pets on Luxair flights
Travelling with pets with Luxair is allowed.
As long as the animal meets weight, size, country, and other airline regulations, you may fly with it with an extra fee as carry-on baggage or within the cargo hold area of the plane.
