Smartwings check-in

Smartwings' check-in choices enable you to check in online, using your mobile device, at a check-in machine or at the airline check-in desk at the airport.
You are required to check in at the airline desk in the airport you are departing from if travelling with pets or in case you demand special on-board services.

Discover more about how to check in with Smartwings here.

Smartwings online check-in

Online check-in opens from 30 hours ahead of time of departure and enables seat selection and either printing of your boarding pass or downloading it to a mobile device (make sure mobile check-in is available at the departure airport). To process online check-in for your upcoming flight with Smartwings, please follow the link.

Smartwings mobile check-in

For further convenience, you have the possibility to choose to download your mobile boarding pass, making it possible to check in anytime you like. From 30 hours before departure, you can check in, select your seat, and get your boarding pass via your mobile device. Mobile check-in is not available in all airports, so it is important to look this up when planning your flight.

In the event you have a problem with your mobile boarding pass, you can go to the airline check-in counter or a check-in machine (where available) for a conventional paper one. This also applies in the event your phone has issues, or your boarding pass is deleted.

Smartwings self-check-in machines

These are the screens you can use to check in at the airport. Not all airports have self-check-in machines, so check that your airport of departure does ahead of your trip. With the majority of check-in machines, you can check in by using your passport, or by filling in your last name and the flight booking reference (found in your booking confirmation).

Smartwings check-in deadlines

Check-in deadlines are crucial in order to achieve on-time departure for flights. Before the deadline you should have your boarding pass, however you checked in – in person, online, with your mobile phone, or if you were automatically checked in – and baggage must also have been checked in.

Smartwings baggage regulations

Business Class – above 150 cm (width + height + depth, a maximum limit of 250 cm)

Smartwings baggage allowance: Sports equipment

You will find all the information that is necessary about travelling with sports equipment here.
It is a good idea to make a reservation for your sports baggage before travelling – at least 2 days before your flight – because there is a limitation on the amount of space available for these items.
Follow the link for sports baggage rules relating to size and weight, and flat rates.

Smartwings luggage problems

There are a number of reasons why baggage gets damaged or does not arrive at the destination airport. A detached baggage tag, poor weather, or technical issues in the baggage handling area can cause baggage concerns.
To learn about compensation claims for damaged baggage, or tracing baggage, go here.

Delayed / damaged baggage on Smartwings

A report must be made promptly to the Smartwings baggage tracing desk or service counter in the unfortunate event your baggage is damaged or is delayed at the airport of arrival. Each flight document should be kept, especially your baggage claim tag and boarding pass.

Confirmation in writing is always requisite, and also a reference number of your claim. Make sure you have this until baggage receipt, or your claim is resolved.

Another option to pursue a claim for difficulties with baggage is to process the claim by enlisting the help of MYFLYRIGHT, more detailed information can be found here.
