SunExpress offers free domestic flights after earthquake in Turkey

Earthquakes in Turkey and Syria
Following the massive earthquake that struck the Turkish city of Manisa in October 2022, the airline SunExpress is offering free domestic flights to help the affected people. The airline, which is headquartered in Antalya and is a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, has announced that it will start offering free flights to and from Manisa.
The earthquake, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, caused severe damage in Manisa and surrounding areas and claimed several lives. Many people have lost their homes and are dependent on assistance. SunExpress now wants to help support the affected people by offering free domestic flights.
Help from SunExpress
The flights are to depart from various airports in Turkey and have destination Manisa. SunExpress has announced that they will offer as many flights as possible to help the affected people. The flights are to be free of charge until further notice and the airline hopes that this will help to help the affected people during this difficult time.
SunExpress is one of Turkey's largest airlines and has provided assistance during other disasters in the past. For example, after the earthquake in Izmir last year, the airline also offered free flights to help the affected people.
SunExpress' initiative is an example of how companies can take responsibility in times of disaster and emergency. Providing free flights can help people get help faster and more effectively. SunExpress is thus showing that it is not just an airline, but also an important part of the community in which it operates.
