Lufthansa check-in

It is possible to check in with Lufthansa in a range of ways, online, on your mobile device, or in the airport with a check-in machine or at the airline check-in desk.

The carry-on baggage has to comply with the airline’s regulations.

Delayed / damaged baggage claim

A statement must be made straight away to the Lufthansa baggage tracing desk or service counter when your baggage is damaged or is delayed at the arrival airport. Every flight document should be kept, most importantly your baggage claim tag and boarding pass.

You must always supply the reference number for your claim and confirmation in writing. Make sure you have this until your baggage is delivered or your claim is settled.

Lufthansa flight travel classes

A travel class sets out the calibre of accommodation aboard the plane. The choice of classes the passenger can select from varies depending on the airline. Passengers may select from Lufthansa's 4 travel classes – Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class.

Lufthansa Economy Class

This is the most affordable travel class of plane accommodation. Passengers can fly Economy Class on any Lufthansa flights.

Lufthansa Premium Economy Class

Premium Economy Class is between Economy and Business Class and offers more services in a more relaxing setting before and in the course of the flight.

Lufthansa Business Class

Travelling with children on Lufthansa flights

Children who are aged two (2) and above must have individual seats.

Be aware that some countries have particular regulations regarding minors entering or exiting that country, who are travelling on their own, with a parent, or with an adult who is not the parent.

Lufthansa pet policy

Travelling with pets with Lufthansa is allowed. Requires registration and confirmation from the airline no later than 24 hours before departure.
